American Cancer Society's Cattle Baron's Ball
The American Cancer Society's mission is to free the world from cancer. The funds raised the Cattle Baron's Ball go to research which allows them to share expert information, support patients, and spread the word about prevention.
The Cattle Baron's Ball is Northern Colorado's Premier Million Dollar Fundraising Event. Since this event's humble beginning more than 25 years ago, more than $8 million dollars has been raised to support efforts to win the war against cancer.
United Way of Weld County
United Way advances the common good in communities across the world. The United Way of Weld County board of directors has identified five initiative areas-Reading Great by 8 (early childhood development), Thrive by 25 (youth success), Weld's Way Home (ending and preventing homelessness), Aging Well (older adults and healthy aging), and Connecting Weld (access to services). Combined, and with support, these five initiatives can solve Weld County's long-term challenges.
Northern Colorado Rush - Sam Chuenchit Annual Golf Tournament
This Fund was established in 2008 in memory of Sumret "Sam" Chuenchit, a long-time soccer coach in Greeley. Sam Chuenchit spent 30 years coaching for Bootleggers, Greeley Central, Greeley West, and Northridge. After his passing in January 2008, his tournament has funded over $50,000 and has provided $20,000 in scholarships.
Each Year the Sam Chuenchit Golf tournament's proceeds funds two college scholarships for high school soccer players furthering their education at the college/university of their choice.
Toys for Tots of Weld County
Toys for Tots of Weld County is run by Union Colony Marines Det 1093 (Rick Hartman), distributing toys to kids whose parents can't afford Christmas gifts. Each year Toys for Tots get toys that are dropped off at their organization or other local businesses.
Honda of Greeley has an employee toys for tots fundraiser and each year where we purchase a bunch of new toys to donate to this great organization who then distributes to families and children who might otherwise go without some Christmas cheer.
