What is Honda LaneWatch?
If you’re unfamiliar with Honda’s safety technologies, you may be wondering, “What is Honda LaneWatch and what does it do?” Simply put, it helps drivers stay informed about what’s happening on the passenger side of their vehicle. It’s offered on many new Honda vehicles, and can be operated easily. Read on to learn more about Honda LaneWatch, and how it can make your Ft. Collins commutes safer.
What is Honda LaneWatch & How Does it Work?
Honda LaneWatch works similarly to a blind spot monitoring system. Vehicles equipped with this feature have a camera installed below their right, passenger-side mirrors. The camera sends an image to the central display screen, which you can view as you drive. This system gives you a clearer view of the side of your car, making it easier and safer to change lanes or make turns.
It’s important to note that Honda LaneWatch is a safety enhancement—not a substitute.
How to Use Honda LaneWatch
Using LaneWatch takes no more effort than signaling a turn. Activate the right turning signal to turn the system on, and the camera will power on automatically. You’ll see an image of your blind zone. You can also press the button on the end of the turning signal control; pressing the button again turns the system off. To change the settings, follow these steps:
- Select Settings on the HOME screen.
- Choose Camera.
- Choose LaneWatch.
- Make your preferred changes.
- Press BACK to exit.
