MPG Ratings Per Civic Trim

Check out the EPA-estimated fuel economy rating for each of the Civic trim levels to find the model that has the MPG that best suits your Loveland area driving needs:

  • Civic LX: EPA-estimated 25 mpg city/36 mpg highway* rating
  • Civic Sport: EPA-estimated 25 mpg city/36 mpg highway* rating
  • Civic EX: EPA-estimated 32 mpg city/42 mpg highway* rating
  • Civic EX-L: EPA-estimated 32 mpg city/42 mpg highway* rating
  • Civic Touring: EPA-estimated 30 mpg city/38 mpg highway* rating

Both the Honda Civic LX and Honda Sport models can be equipped with an optional continuously variable transmission (CVT) in place of the standard 6-speed manual. The CVT helps boost fuel economy to an EPA-estimated 30 mpg city/38 mpg city* for the LX, and up to 29 mpg city/37 mpg highway* for the Sport. The EX, EX-L, and Touring models come standard with the CVT.

Two Honda Civic Engines with Eco Assist System

The 2019 Honda Civic Sedan is available with either a 2.0L 4-cylinder or a 1.5L turbo 4-cylinder engine. The base 2.0L engine generates 158 hp with 138 lb-ft of torque. The turbo engine increases output to 174 hp and 162- to 167 lb-ft of torque. Both engines come with the Eco Assist System, which helps to conserve fuel in two ways:

  1. A color-changing display around the speedometer tells you how fuel-efficient your driving habits are. If your driving is efficient the display is green, if you’re wasting fuel it’s blue.
  2. The Eco Assist System with the available ECON button allows you to change the Civic’s performance profile to conserve fuel consumption.
